ABOUT
Michael Canning is an internationally awarded creative director, writer and publishing editor. From Sydney, Australia, his career began when he won a scholarship to Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London. He has lived and worked in Sydney, London, New York and Los Angeles in various roles including Executive Creative Director of brands and creative agencies.
Thanks to great collaborators his work has made headlines in the New York Times, Fast Company, Forbes, Vogue, CNN and the United Nations, and been awarded with two Cannes Lions Grand Prix and the One Show Entertainment Best of Show. As an editor Michael has interviewed inspiring creative figures including Alma Har’el, John C Jay, Paola Antonelli and Christoph Niemann to name a few.
He is also a contributor in the creative industry and has presented as a speaker at the Cannes Lions Festival, mentored students at Sydney University, judged creative awards including Cannes Lions Titanium + Integrated and contributed to the New York Times, Huffpost, AdAge Creativity, Semi Permanent and Fast Company.
